National Insurance Rebate
Many people working in the UK do not know that they are able to reclaim a portion of their National Insurance Contributions. This is different to a Tax Refund and can be claimed at any time of the year and only needs to be done once, after that it is automatically done for you each year.
Who Qualifies for a National Insurance Rebate?
You may qualify if you are living in the UK, have a permanent National Insurance number and are not self employed! Apply now for your National Insurance Rebate.
What is a NI Rebate?
A significant portion of your National Insurance goes towards your State Second Pension. This is voluntary and if you work in the UK you can choose to take (opt out) this money for yourself. You cannot receive this money in cash form; it is transferred into your own personal pension.
On average a person earning £30,000 per annum will receive a NI Rebate of £1,645. This is of particular interest for foreigners as receiving a rebate in their personal pension will be by far more realistic than receiving a state pension from the UK Government on retirement when they aren’t even living in the UK.
